I was in Matala in the summer of 1968. I was there for 6 weeks and lived in the front beach cave with two friends from London, Linda and George. I remember a few names. There was a Dieter who was German and drunk a lot. Bernard a French boy, someone from Cornwall. I need to get my diaries out. There were some Dutch people. one of the boys was from Yemen. A Danish boy and a boy called Fuji whose mother was Japanese and father Afghani - or the other way around.

There was also someone who played the guitar and lived over the hill.
